growing garden

Our tiny garden planted.

The ground was prepared by having fun, digging, and worm hunting. After the ground was softened by the kids I pulled the weeds and made the line for "next years garden".

That is when our neighbor brought over some of her own lettuce and something else that I'm really not sure what it is yet, but we planted it.

It looks like broccoli, but it's not. I asked if it was "white broccoli" and it's not that either. So we will see when the plant bears fruit!

Planting this garden seems to be such a simple thing, but to us it means so much more than just a garden. It is a place that we are reminded of the work it takes to plant, weed, nurture, and watch God grow these plants.

But even more than that, it reminds us of the work of Christ. Planting Christ, weeding out lies from the enemy, teaching, equipping, and watching God grow them into fruit bearing followers of Christ.
